About Donald L. Koch
A dedicated family man, Donald L. Koch participated in the Boy Scouts of America, taught Sunday school, sponsored inner-city youth at his alma mater, and established the Donald L. Koch Charitable Trust. Through the Trust, Mr. Koch seeks to further the understanding and knowledge of the United States government through the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. The Trust sponsors an annual lecture series that enables notable individuals, such as former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Congressman Todd Akin, and U.S. Senator Jim Talent, to interact with students. The Daycroft School Foundation honored Donald L. Koch as one of three individuals to receive a Distinguished Daycrofter Award. The prize recognizes a person’s appreciation and dedication to character development, education, and the heritage of America.
Donald L. Koch graduated with distinction from Trinity College with an M.A. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University before working as a Senior Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he also served on the Senior Credit Committee. In addition, he functioned as a Senior Vice President and Director of Investments, as well as the Chairman of the Investment Policy Committee at The Robinson-Humphrey Company.
Donald L. Koch fulfilled a professorship at the Georgia Institute of Technology, teaching graduate courses in finance and commercial bank management. Earlier in his career, he taught as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Florida and Jacksonville University, instructing undergraduate and graduate courses on money and banking, as well as macroeconomics.
